ATAA Provincially Sponsored Shoots

All bids are to be submitted to the ATAA President in writing prior to the start of the Annual General Meeting. Each club will be allowed time to speak about their bid. The membership will then vote upon the bids to determine who gets or vote to accept the bid, if only one is presented.

Indoor Target Provincials:

Held the last weekend in March or first weekend in April. The provincials usually have anywhere from 80 – 110 shooters. Four 300 scores are shot for a total out of 1200. Saturday’s program consists of 2 rounds plus the AGM and then followed by a social or dinner (depending on club). Sunday the last 2 rounds shot with the awards to follow. FITA rules are used for the shoot. (see judge chairperson for more information).

Indoor 3D Provincials:

Held generally in early March. Minimum requirements are 2 courses of 20 animals per day. The shoot is held over 2 days, with the winners announced at the end. FCA 3D rules are followed. Generally between 120 – 150 shooters have participated in this event.

Outdoor Target Provincials:

Held in July or August, usually depends when Canadian National Target Championships are held. The competition consists of a FITA 1440 round shot on the first day and a field round on the second. Medals are awarded for each event. FITA rules are used.

Outdoor 3D Provincials:

Held in July or August. Minimum requirements are 3 courses of 20 targets. FCA rules are followed.
