2007's Canada Winter Games process

  1. All potential archers would submit their names and that of the personal coach to the Games Coach by December 1, 2005.
  2. All archers who have submitted their names will be contacted and invited to clinics set up in three or four centrally located venues. Personal coaches would be included.
  3. The archers would be given practice planning and record books. Coaches and athletes would be encouraged to keep records of progress. The Games Coach would check them at the shooting clinics.
  4. Several shooting clinics will be held in 2006. Participation will be strongly encouraged.
  5. Meetings with a sport psychologist and a nutritionist would be arranged. Participation will be strongly encouraged.
  6. The Games Coach would communicate at least monthly with each archer. Video tape performance may be evaluated if requested.
  7. The archers would be required to attend a minimum of four indoor FITAs during the 2005/2006 Indoor Season, 2006 Regionals and 2006 Indoor Target Provincials.
  8. In November of 2006, there would be a Games Team Trial in a central location. The two top archers in each event would be named to the team. Third place would be designated alternate.
  9. The team would then meet in December 2006 and January 2007 and once in February 2007 in a central location to train as a team.
